This page is a work in progress – much like our house! The interior photos of the house I snapped about an hour after we closed. Be warned – if empty, beige rooms make you woozy, LOOK AWAY! I will be adding our “in progress” shots of each room as time goes on.
The exterior on concrete day. Let me tell you how excited we were to get a driveway and path! I’ve never been so excited for cement! This was May 2012 and I spent the rest of the summer jumping in on the front landscaping.
UPDATE: This is the front of the house as of May 2013. Window boxes! Yay!!
I failed to get a photo looking into the house from the front door. This is what you see past the entrance to your right. I love my kitchen!
We moved from a house that had a much smaller kitchen. It was sufficient, but I’m in love with the large island and all the cabinets. Our last kitchen had 5 drawers, the island alone has 4. It’s the little things people. 🙂
On the opposite wall:
Looking back towards the front door from the living room. The kitchen on the left, first doorway on the right is to the mudroom/garage entrance, second room on the right is the front room which we use as an office/school room. A front hallway to the left that has a large coat closet and half bath.
FRONT HALLWAY/POWDER ROOM
Shall we head upstairs?
Upstairs is home to the master bedroom and bath, 3 additional bedrooms, a full bath and the laundry room. Laundry near the bedrooms – holla! These photos leave much to be desired…use your imagination, mkay? 🙂
This room has come a long way! We trimmed out the room with board and batten, painted, framed the mirror and chose a shower curtain. We still need to tile around the tub, choose some hardware for the vanity, choose a window treatment, and update the lighting.
This is looking down the hallway towards the front of the house. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. That window is in fact NOT centered. From the exterior? Yes. Inside? Not so much. I love a good design challenge! The two doors on the left are our girls bedrooms. The farthest on the right, the guest room. You can’t see them, but the laundry and bath are also on the right. Stairs to downstairs are to the right our of our room.
I’m about to post what might be the worst bedroom photos ever put on a blog. Forgive me.
The laundry room (ok, let’s be real, it feels more like a closet.) And SURPRISE! I failed to take a before picture before I jumped in with a project. This will happen more than I like to admit.
I painted a couple stripes, we hung a cabinet and rod, and built this laundry dresser.
